Tapwe Series: Episode 2: Finding Home-Indigenous in a Colonial Environment

This episode is the second installment of a 4 part series, featuring candid conversations lead by member of the Indigenous community.

Elaine Kicknosway will lead the conversation in episode 2: Finding Home: Indigenous in a Colonial Environment. Elaine is an Indigenous doula, counsellor, an advocate, dancer, drummer, and so more to the Indigenous community she has spent her life serving.

This episode will focus on Indigenous perspectives of detribalized, unenrolled or otherwise disconnected Indigenous people and their experiences. We will explore the emotional toll and lasting trauma from:

Residential schools , 60s scoop and other means of enfranchisement.
