When young people have access to accurate information and services on sexual and reproductive health, they can make informed decisions about their bodies and lives. 

 

About the Position:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Events Marketing Manager is responsible for executing exceptional digital and in-person events including webinars, conferences, and more.


We are looking for an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented events professional with the ability to manage logistics, complex deliverables and timelines of events across the country. The successful candidate has a track record of elevating the event experience - from research planning, and marketing  to execution and post-event debriefs.

 

Location: Vancouver, BC or remote (in Canada)

Position Type: 30hrs/week (with the possibility of full-time in a few months)

Compensation: $27.26/hr + benefits (after the three month probationary period)

 Job duties:

  • Oversee event and webinar delivery (including event research, marketing and due diligence, hosting, and post-event review) with a focus on creating ROI 

  • Coordinate the development of marketing strategies and annual marketing plan

  • Develop a social media plan that focuses on one-to-one engagement

  • Organize logistics and travel for team members attending events

  • Lead and formalize post-event debriefs and implement insights in future events

  • Establish and maintain relationships with partner organizations virtually and in person  

  • Supervise event assistants and volunteers  

  • Exhibit a professional demeanor

Key/Technical Skills:

  • Attention to detail and organization is key (and worth repeating!)

  • Familiarity with event sales and marketing, and ability to market events across various platforms

  • Public speaking experience

  • Strong graphic design skills, experience with Canva or Photoshop 

  • A team-building approach to giving and receiving creative feedback

  • Must be able to prioritize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing, WordPress, Facebook and Mailchimp

  • Act independently to take initiative in problem solving and decision-making and make important decisions with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Interest in reproductive justice and sexual/reproductive health 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum four (4) years of total relevant event and marketing experience

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or a related field

  • Previous B2B event experience preferred

  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends 

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally as needed

Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation package at $27.26/hr + benefits (after the three month probationary period)
