Canada is a nation where a person’s race, religion, or ethnic origin are determinants of health that result in inequities in social inclusion, economic outcomes, and access to health and social services. These effects are especially evident for racialized and Indigenous peoples. Today, numerous studies have revealed that there are pernicious racial biases that persist in medicine—impacting the quality of care that healthcare providers administer. Join us for a workshop discussing healthcare discrimination in Canada, its impact on reproductive health care, and how we can collectively fight for equality.
The workshop will be facilitated by Selina Beltran and Boma Brown, of the Support Network for Indigenous Women & Women of Colour.
