On Monday, September 28th, SNIWWOC, AACCCS (African Arts and Cultural Community Contributor Society) and Hogan’s Alley invited all three of B.C.’s major party leaders : NDP MLA John Horgan, Liberal MLA Andrew Wilkinson and Greens Sonia Furstenau to a virtual town hall to discuss their party’s anti-racism strategies, with a focus on anti-black racism, and their party’s plans for the implementation of the International Decade for the People of African Descent. 

We have confirmation of attendance from the B.C. Greens with Devyani Singh, Vancouver-Mount Pleasant. The NDP and Liberals are yet to confirm a candidate.

The date for the virtual town hall is SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18TH 5PM via Zoom.
