This is the first of six workshops designed to help women in their healing journey while they recover from the lasting effects of domestic violence.
This workshop will be lead by Dr. Juanyetta Beasley DHA, RN. Not only is Dr. Juanyetta an outstanding women, mother, registered nurse and facilitator; she is also a survivor of domestic violence. She has taken from her own experiences and channeled her pain into a way to help others overcome their own situations.
The following workshops will take place from June 16th-November 17th and will cover the following topics:
1) Defining Domestic Violence -June 16th, 2022 5:00pm-7:00pm PDT
Content will include the various forms of domestic violence.
2) Coping with Grief- July 14th, 2022 7:00pm-9:00pm PDT
Content is a continuation from defining domestic violence diving into accompanying stages of grief and highlights the healing journey continuum.
3) Exit Planning- August 18th, 2022 7:00pm-9:00pm PDT
Content will review the value of creating and/or identifying a tribe and forming a safe exit plan.
4) Boundaries- September 15th, 2022 7:00pm-9:00pm PDT
Content will explore creating, employing, and maintaining healthy boundaries; and the importance of respecting others' boundaries.
5) Detachment - October 20th, 2022 7:00pm-9:00pm PDT
Content will walk participants through the process of separating emotion from outcome, a holistic tactic to benefit all areas of life.
6) Life After Abuse- Nov 17th, 2022- 7:00pm-9:00pm PDT
Content will discuss the significance of communication and self-advocacy, navigating triggers, and healthy relationships.
