An in-person community circle for members of the Indigenous Community in BC to share thoughts, feeling and experiences surrounding policing and public safety in BC is currently in the works at SNIWWOC.

Pre-registration is available, however location, time and other details are yet to be announced.

The circle will be hosted in Victoria BC on Monday February 12th 2024.

At SNIWWOC, as women of color, we recognize the many forms of trauma our communities experience surrounding police, this event is is being developed by women of color with lived experience and is being created with the core goal of safety and empowerment of our communities

All information consentually shared at the circle will be put towards informing reform of the Police Act in BC, in hopes of harm reduction and creating safer outcomes for our communities while we work toward brighter futures.
