Through these troubled times we would like to offer another online yoga session followed by a sharing circle to ground and be together in community.
This is an opportunity for Black women, Indigenous women, women of colour, two-spirit, and racialized non-binary individuals to come for a gentle restorative yoga practice and community gathering in a space where you can show up as you are.
This will be a 45 minute to 1 hour guided yoga and meditation practice led by Ande Denise followed by a sharing circle where we will each have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and share what we wish. The sharing circle is informal and a means to build community. These both will take place online through zoom video conferencing.
Ande Denise is a woman and uses she/her pronouns. She is Metis and a descendant of many ancestral lands including throughout Western Europe and the plains of Turtle Island. Ande is a trauma informed yoga teacher who teaches a slow and welcoming class that is suitable for all levels of practitioner. A journey through mental illness led her to practice yoga and a growing belief in embodiment practices led her to teach. Ande continues to study the nervous system, trauma and healing. Her commitment to social justice and community healing inform her teaching and allow her to hold space in a deeply caring, conscious and non-judgmental way. In class she will encourage you to be present to what shows up for you in your mind and body, to listen to what your body feels, and to let your mind and body receive your own inner medicine that comes when you allow this listening and unfolding.
