I have also used the counselling services which, for the first time in my life, I felt heard and understood by a therapist. I could actually talk about the problems I face as a visible minority and my therapist understands and gives me tools to get through tough times. I am especially astounded at the fast replies I have received, which has been a bonus in my time of need. The organization has shown me that I am loved and people have my back. It has helped me tremendously in healing some deeply rooted, intergenertional trauma as well as empower me to pursue a career path, I was otherwise finding difficulty breaking into.
